conferences i have attended
IACBE Regional Case Study Competition 2014:
As part of my Managing and Leading Organizations course during the Fall semester of my junior year, our class was assigned to form a group and prepare an analysis and presentation of the recent Market Basket case that occurred during the past Summer. The top two groups among all sections of the course were selected to attend the regional conference at Elms College in Chicopee, MA to compete for a chance to attend the national conference. My group, including Adrian Hall, Christopher Jones, and David Gidley, was one of the teams selected to attend the conference. Through our economic, financial, managerial, marketing, legal, and ethical presentation, our team was able to come in 2nd place among the four competing teams.
Massachusetts Conference for Women 2014:
Also during the Fall semester of my junior year, I was selected to attend the Massachusetts Conference for Women in Boston, MA. This was a great experience in which we were able to attend different information sessions and hear speakers talk about what it means and takes to be a successful woman in different kinds of industries. Some of the guest speakers at the conference included Hilary Clinton, Tory Burch, and Lupita
Nyong'o.
